There are secrets below the ground of New York city that you may have never known. Some are accessible for people and some just unknown to the people. There is one such train platform under the ground known as Track 61. This is the secret train platform that Franklin D. Roosevelt and other VIPs accessed to enter the Waldorf-Astoria. It has been out of service for decades. The mysterious siding, known as Track 61, originated as part of Grand Central Terminal’s sprawling underground network of storage sidings, above which the iconic Park Avenue hotel was later developed through an air rights lease.
