Savenaca Rawaca the Olympic Gold Medalist Save Rawaca leaves Fijian Sevens Squad.

Vodafone Fiji 7s player Savenaca Rawaca is soon going to join the French club La Rochelle and thus be leaving for France. Earlier today Save Rawaca has confirmed this news to Fijivillage.

Gareth Baber the Fiji 7s coach has also confirmed that Rawaca will not be part of the Fiji 7s team to the Wellington and Sydney 7s.Baber said that Save Rawaca had already advised them that he will be Soon leaving for france. Also Save Rawaca has been released from the Fiji 7s training squad. It was a difficult decision made by Rawaca to snub Saracens after having signed for them before the Olympics but made the decision not to join the Premiership Champions in England and the La Rochelle rumours started towards the end of 2016. The IOC made a medal for Savenaca Rawaca following the Olympics after missing the Olympic final
 
Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s team is grouped with  South Africa, Australia and Japan for the Wellington 7s that will be played from the 28th to the 29th of this month.
